Sadness, anger, stress, depression and anxiety are keeping many people from celebrating their lives’ milestones. Negative thoughts and feelings make it difficult to be happy and fulfilled. They affect family life, work and business. They also increase vulnerability to Non Communicable Diseases such as hypertension and diabetes; and affect immunity to predispose to infectious diseases. A vicious cycle is thus created and the consequent high burden of disease affects performance and productivity, hence influencing the economy negatively. Milestone Support and Wellness Centre was established to provide individualized mental health care and support to its clients including survivors of Gender Based Violence . We walk with the person to help him or her find once more a wholesome happy life, free of stress, anxiety, sadness and depression.
